 Artificial Organs

This multidisciplinary journal publishes the latest reports on biomaterials, bioelectronics, haemodynamics and extracorporeal technologies. Artificial Organs publishes original articles featuring the studies of design, performance, and evaluation of the biomaterials and devices for the international medical, scientific, and engineering communities involved in the research and clinical application of artificial organ development.

 Biomedical Microdevices

Biomedical Microdevices is an interdisciplinary periodical devoted to all aspects of research in the diagnostic and therapeutic applications of Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems (MEMS), microfabrication, and nanotechnology. General subjects of interest include the design, characterisation, testing, modelling and clinical validation of microfabricated systems, and their integration on-chip and in larger functional units.

 Biophysics, Bioengineering and Medical Instrumentation

Biophysics, Bioengineering and Medical Instrumentation covers the application of biophysical principles to the development of instrumentation and the use of automation in biomedicine, biomechanics and bioengineering. It includes imaging techniques, surgical instrumentation and electro-diagnostic techniques, automation of instrumentation and medical informatics.

 IVD Technology

IVD Technology is a bimonthly magazine written exclusively for original equipment manufacturers of in vitro diagnostic products. The goal of IVD Technology is to help industry professionals develop, design, and manufacture medical products that comply with the complex, demanding regulations and market requirements.

 Journal of Biomedical Optics

Recent growth in the use of optics technology for biomedical research and health care has been explosive. New applications are made possible by emerging technologies in lasers, optoelectronic devices, fibre optics, physical and chemical sensors, and imaging - all of which are being applied to medical research, diagnostics, and therapy. The Journal of Biomedical Optics is intended to be the repository for peer-reviewed papers that utilize modern optical technology for improved health care and biomedical research.

Journal of Long-Term Effects of Medical Implants

The ability to predict the long term in vivo performance of medical implants is of vital interest. The aims of the Journal of Long-Term Effects of Medical Implants are the better understanding of the mechanisms of failure of pre-clinically tested medical implants during long-term in vivo service life (both in appropriate animal models and in humans), and establishing an effective linkage between pre-clinical and clinical studies. Of particular interest are original, critical analyses of data of retrieved implants, interpretive discussions of data based on invasive and non-invasive procedures, and computer modelling of in vivo performance. Also of interest are articles on health-care technology assessment involving implants, and their social impact on economic consequences.

Journal of Materials Science: Materials in Medicine

Journal of Materials Science: Materials in Medicine is an established refereed monthly companion to the Journal of Materials Science. It publishes papers on the science and technology of biomaterials and their applications as medical or dental implants, prostheses and devices, and of biological materials. Materials in Medicine covers a wide range of topics from the basic underpinning science to clinical applications, around a central theme of materials in medicine and dentistry.

Journal of Medical Engineering & Technology

The Journal of Medical Engineering & Technology is an international, independent, multidisciplinary, bimonthly journal promoting an understanding of the physiological processes underlying disease processes and the appropriate application of technology. Features include authoritative review papers, the reporting of original research, and evaluation reports on new and existing techniques and devices. Each issue of the journal contains a comprehensive information service which provides news relevant to the world of medical technology, details of new products, book reviews, a meetings calendar and selected contents of many related journals.

 Medical Engineering & Physics

Medical Engineering & Physics provides a forum for the publication of the latest developments in biomedical engineering, and reflects the essential multidisciplinary nature of the subject. The journal publishes in-depth critical reviews, scientific papers and communications of work which is at an earlier stage of development. Topics covered include clinical engineering, biomedical computing, biological systems, instrumentation, medical imaging technology, biomaterials, biomechanics and rehabilitation. Medical Engineering & Physics keeps both medical engineers and clinicians abreast of the latest applications of technology to health care.

 Radiation and Environmental Biophysics

This journal is devoted to fundamental and applied issues in radiation research and biophysics. The topics include: biophysics of ionising radiation, biophysics of non-ionising radiations, biological effects of physical factors, biophysical aspects of the biosphere and space, risk assessment and risk modelling for radiation and environmental factors. Contributions to these topics may include theoretical, mathematical and experimental material. They can range from complex radiobiological phenomena to issues of health physics and environmental protection.
